The University of Tennessee has launched a major $337 million renovation of Neyland Stadium, aimed at improving the fan experience and updating the historic venue. Set to be completed by fall 2026, the project includes a range of upgrades focused on comfort, accessibility, and engagement for the more than 100,000 fans who attend each game.
Major Upgrades
- Wider Concourses and Entryways: Enhanced pathways and larger gates will help ease congestion and shorten wait times.
- Improved Amenities: Additional restrooms and concession stands will boost convenience and service.
- Updated Seating Options: New seating choices, including premium clubs and social decks, will offer something for every fan.
- Enhanced Technology: A stadium-wide Wi-Fi network and high-tech videoboards will elevate the game-day atmosphere.
Neyland Entertainment District
In conjunction with the stadium updates, a new Neyland Entertainment District is being developed along the Tennessee River. This mixed-use area will include a hotel, condos, retail shops, and event spaces, turning the stadium area into a year-round hub.
Key Partnerships
To balance modernization with tradition, Tennessee has formed a long-term partnership with Knoxville-based Pilot Company. The stadium will continue to be called Neyland Stadium, while Pilot’s branding will be integrated throughout the venue.
These extensive renovations highlight the university’s dedication to delivering a top-tier experience for fans and cement Neyland Stadium’s reputation as a premier destination in college football.
