The Nuggets have released forwards Gabe McGlothan and Jaylin Williams, along with guard Jahmir Young, according to the NBA transactions log. All three players had signed Exhibit 10 contracts for training camp.
McGlothan, Williams, and Young are likely headed to the Grand Rapids Gold in the G League. Of the three, Young played the most in Denver’s preseason game against the Celtics in Abu Dhabi, logging 14 minutes. McGlothan played just three seconds, and Williams — not to be confused with the Thunder player of the same name — did not appear in either preseason game.

Following these roster moves, Denver now has 18 players, including 15 with guaranteed contracts and three on two-way deals.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed minimum-salary agreement that doesn’t affect a team’s cap unless the player makes the final roster. It can be converted into a two-way contract before the season or provide a bonus if the player is waived and stays with the G League affiliate for 60 days.
The Nuggets are expected to make more minor adjustments in the coming days, such as signing big man Charles Bediako, previously with Alabama and the Grand Rapids Gold. This is also likely a move intended for Bediako to play in Grand Rapids.
After losing to the Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals, Denver is looking to get back into championship contention this season.
