The Auburn Tigers have secured a major addition for the 2025 season by acquiring standout wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. from Georgia Tech via the winter transfer portal. Singleton, who has two years of eligibility left, made a strong impact during his time with the Yellow Jackets, recording 104 receptions for 1,468 yards and nine receiving touchdowns over 24 games. He also added 140 rushing yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, leading Georgia Tech in both receiving yards and touchdowns in each of his two seasons.

In his sophomore campaign, Singleton posted career-best numbers, catching 56 passes for 754 yards and three touchdowns across 12 games. He also chipped in 131 rushing yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.
ESPN’s Max Olson recently released his final transfer portal rankings for 2025, placing Singleton as the No. 1 wide receiver and the sixth overall transfer in the country. Olson highlighted Singleton’s potential as a high-volume target in Auburn’s offense, stating he could be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
“Singleton made an immediate impact at Georgia Tech, earning Freshman All-America honors in 2023 and finishing runner-up for ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year,” Olson wrote. “The former three-star recruit from Douglasville, Georgia, totaled 104 receptions, 1,468 yards, and 10 total touchdowns over two seasons. He’s one of the most sought-after talents from the portal and has the skillset to become an early-round NFL Draft pick.”
At Auburn, Singleton is expected to take on a key role, helping fill the void left by outgoing receivers KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Rivaldo Fairweather.
Singleton now has his sights set on a historic milestone: becoming the first Auburn wide receiver selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since 1972, when Terry Beasley was chosen 19th overall by the San Francisco 49ers. Many scouts believe Singleton has the talent to end that decades-long drought.
