He has expressed regret over his comments following the Miami Dolphins’ Week 18 loss to the New York Jets, when he said he was “out.” Reflecting on his actions in New Orleans before Super Bowl LIX, He admitted that his words were fueled by frustration. He acknowledged that he could have handled the situation better and took full responsibility for his outburst.

“I could have handled the situation better,” He said on Up & Adams. “Instead of saying, ‘I’m out,’ I could have obviously handled it better, and I wished I did. In the heat of the moment, I just said whatever I had to say, and I’m taking full accountability of that. I wanna win, we wanna win, and I’m sure the fans wanna win. I feel like a lot of things needed to be said. It’s tough right now. I want to come back.”

His comments echoed what his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, had said after the Dolphins’ season ended. Rosenhaus explained that His frustration came from playing through a serious injury and Miami’s inability to turn his determination into a playoff spot. He revealed that Hill had broken his wrist during training camp in a scrimmage with the Washington Commanders. Despite doctors advising season-ending surgery, Hill chose to play through the injury all year.

Hill played all 17 games, finishing with 81 catches, 959 yards, and six touchdowns, marking his first season under 1,000 yards since 2019 when he missed four games with the Kansas City Chiefs. Rosenhaus praised Hill for his passion and commitment, emphasizing his genuine desire to win.

Despite his frustration, Hill is committed to the Dolphins, having had a productive meeting with GM Chris Grier and coach Mike McDaniel. Rosenhaus is confident that Hill remains a key asset to the team. Hill, who signed a three-year, $90 million contract extension with Miami last August, made it clear he wants to stay with the Dolphins.

Although Miami’s playoff appearances in Hill’s first two years were short-lived, Hill remains optimistic about the team’s future. He spoke about building something special in Miami, stressing the importance of continued buy-in from teammates and the culture that coach McDaniel is establishing.

“I don’t wanna go nowhere,” Hill said. “I love it, my family loves it. Kids absolutely love being on the beach every morning. It’s an amazing thing, man. We are really building something special in Miami. We made it to the playoffs the first two years. Obviously, this year was hard, but if guys continue to buy into what coach is building and the culture that he’s trying to build, it’s going to be a beautiful thing.”
