Will the WhatsApp update it block people from tomorrow November 1?

WhatsApp update

The latest WhatsApp update is ready for release tomorrow, November 1, 2021, and it has some very bad news for its massive million users. Updating WhatsApp will bring a number of changes and among them one that will affect users who have older phones with outdated software. WhatsApp support for these phone owners will be discontinued and they will not be able to use their phones. This will leave them no choice but to buy a new smartphone.

This will mean spending a lot of money, even if their current phone is in good working order. Another thing these users can do is try to upgrade their phones to a higher version of the OS that meets WhatsApp’s requirements.

While some phones can do this, most will still fail to reach the high levels that are required and hence will face WhatsApp blocking. This will happen not only to Android phone users but also to Apple iPhone users.

If you want to know if you are safe, there are two ways to do it. The first can be easily answered by specifying in the WhatsApp statement which smartphones it will support. WhatsApp stated: “We provide support and recommend the following devices: Android running OS 4.1 and newer. iPhone running iOS 10 or later, KaiOS 2.5.0 or later, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2. ” All phones that do not have this or a later version of the software will not receive WhatsApp support.
