After five years with Tennessee basketball, Santiago Vescovi is set to start his professional career with BAXI Manresa, a team in Spain’s Liga ACB. Vescovi, who recently played for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Summer League, averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 assists per game in 12 minutes of play.

Standing at 6-3, Vescovi appeared in 149 games for Tennessee, leaving a significant mark in the schoolโ€™s record books. He joined the team in midseason 2019 due to an injury to Lamonte Turner and quickly became a key player for Rick Barnes during a rebuilding year.

In his shortened first season, Vescovi averaged over ten points per game and later earned All-SEC honors twice. As a junior, he averaged 13.3 points per game and shot 40% from beyond the arc. Despite returning for a fifth year, he played a secondary role to Dalton Knecht, contributing to Tennesseeโ€™s regular season SEC title and an Elite Eight appearance.

Now, the Uruguayan guard will aim to lead BAXI Manresa to success in the 18-team league, where they reached the quarterfinals last season.
