The New York Giants have the opportunity to enhance their offense in 2025 by acquiring a seasoned wide receiver during this offseason.
Giants linked to star free agent WR
Sportsnaut’s Andre Buller-Russ proposed that the New York Giants pursue free-agent wide receiver Keenan Allen to expedite their franchise rebuild (via The Sporting News’ Aaliyan Mohammed).
“The Giants are in search of a long-term quarterback solution this offseason, but with fourth-year general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll under pressure to win now, they are likely to prioritize impactful veteran additions like Russell Wilson and Keenan Allen,” Buller-Russ wrote.

Allen could be pivotal opposite Giants star Malik Nabers
The 32-year-old wide receiver has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in six seasons. Although he fell short of that mark in 2024, he still delivered a solid 744 yards for the Chicago Bears.
A 12-year veteran, Allen would add elite hands to New York’s receiving corps, as evidenced by his impressive 68.1 percent career catch rate. He could offer the same efficiency as Wan’Dale Robinson while providing greater potential for high-volume yardage and explosive plays, given his 3.1-yard advantage per reception last season.

Beyond his on-field impact, Allen’s veteran presence could be instrumental in mentoring rising star Malik Nabers. The North Carolina native would also bring much-needed stability to a Giants locker room that has faced challenges over the past two seasons. On a short-term deal in the $10-12 million range per year, signing Allen would be a smart investment with little downside for New York.
