Injuries are never a welcome sight at Los Angeles Rams training camp. Whether they’re minor or more serious, seeing key contributors miss time tends to dampen the enthusiasm of fans. But what’s often more frustrating than the injuries themselves is how the team communicates them.

Because injury updates aren’t required during training camp, the reporting is inconsistent. Fans usually find out when a player gets hurt, but updates on their recovery are rare. This creates an imbalance—more bad news than good—which leaves fans in the dark and feeling uneasy.

So, with limited official information, we’ll step in and do our best to keep you updated.
Rams’ injury report looks more like a shopping list than anything else
Injuries have already started to affect the Rams during training camp, impacting several key players:
-
OT Rob Havenstein (shoulder procedure) – Practicing without limitations
-
OT Alaric Jackson (medical issue, blood clots) – Week to week
-
QB Matthew Stafford (back soreness) – Week to week
-
ILB Pooh Paul Jr. (calf strain) – Recovering slowly
-
CB Ahkello Witherspoon (calf injury) – Has returned to practice
-
CB Emmanuel Forbes (hamstring strain) – Expected out 1–2 weeks
-
S Kam Curl (ankle) – Week to week
-
IOL Dylan McMahon (ankle) – Day to day
-
IOL Beaux Limmer (elbow) – Day to day
Although the injury list looks lengthy, the Rams aren’t sounding the alarm. The coaching staff believes most of these players are on track to return without long-term issues. Two of the nine injured players are already back on the field.

The team is being cautious. If this were the playoffs, it’s likely that nearly everyone besides Jackson would be ready to go. Head coach Sean McVay offered a mixed update but noted encouraging progress among the offensive line, especially Jackson, whose recovery is reportedly going as expected.
For now, there’s no reason for concern. Barring setbacks, the Rams expect their starting lineup to be intact for Week 1. Until then, it’s business as usual at camp. Thanks for following along.
