NHL executives are always on the lookout for ways to improve their teams, and Kent Hughes is no exception—he’s on the phone as we speak. Could this mean that some current players might be part of a trade? That’s definitely a possibility on the table.

Recently, The Fourth Period website published an article by David Calabretta discussing three Montreal Canadiens players who could be on the move in the future. The names Joel Armia, Christian Dvorak, and Josh Anderson came up, as they often do in trade rumors.
Of course, Josh Anderson might be tough to trade due to his contract. His former team, the Columbus Blue Jackets, are probably the most in need of a forward, but his current value is low, so a deal seems unlikely.
Armia and Dvorak, however, present interesting cases. Both are nearing the end of their contracts, and in third-line roles, they could contribute to a strong team. The challenge for Hughes will be finding a team interested in either of them and willing to offer something the Canadiens management finds valuable.
At the moment, I don’t see a clear trade fit. It feels like if any of these players are moved, it would be because the team is struggling, and younger players are stepping up. Otherwise, I doubt the Canadiens would trade them right now.

As for Christian Dvorak, it seems Kent Hughes values him as a left-handed center for Montreal.
