Arthur Kaluma has officially signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) to join the University of Texas basketball team for the upcoming 2024-25 season, head coach Rodney Terry announced on Friday. Kaluma, a forward from Glendale, Arizona, played last season at Kansas State University after spending the previous two years at Creighton University. He brings with him an impressive record from 101 career games (99 starts), amassing 1,233 points (12.2 ppg) and 619 rebounds (6.1 rpg) in 3,055 minutes (30.2 mpg) over three collegiate seasons.

Standing 6-7 and weighing 225 pounds, Kaluma shot 43.1 percent from the field and 72.8 percent from the free-throw line during his first three college seasons. He has reached double digits in scoring 68 times, including ten 20-point games, and has recorded eight double-doubles. Kaluma has one year of college eligibility left.
In the 2023-24 season at Kansas State, Kaluma played in 33 games (32 starts), leading the team in rebounding (7.0 rpg) and ranking third in scoring (14.4 ppg), assists (67), steals (27), and minutes played (34.5 mpg). He helped the Wildcats achieve a 19-15 record and reach the NIT First Round, earning an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. Kaluma was one of only four Big 12 players to rank in the top 15 for both scoring (13th) and rebounding (5th). He posted double figures in scoring 28 times, including six 20-point games, and achieved five double-doubles. He was also twice named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and earned USBWA National Player of the Week honors after standout performances in December.
During the 2022-23 season at Creighton, Kaluma started all 37 games, contributing significantly to the team’s success, including a trip to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. He averaged 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the floor and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line. Kaluma had a season-high 27 points against BYU and a career-high 16 rebounds against Connecticut.
As a freshman at Creighton in the 2021-22 season, Kaluma played in 31 of 35 games (30 starts), helping the Bluejays reach the NCAA Tournament Round of 32. He earned BIG EAST All-Freshman and All-Tournament team honors, averaging 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Kaluma had a standout performance against Kansas in the NCAA Tournament, scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
In high school, Kaluma played his senior year at Dream City Christian in Glendale, Arizona, where he averaged 24.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. He was a consensus top-50 national recruit, ranked No. 48 by ESPN and No. 49 by 247 Sports in the Class of 2021.
