Garror made the announcement via social media, in collaboration with Hayes Fawcett of On3. He chose Alabama over offers from Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, and Colorado, among others. The 6-foot-2.5, 215-pound Garror recorded 36 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and seven tackles for loss during the 2023 season, despite missing the first five games.

At this stage, class rankings are not particularly relevant, with most services yet to release ranked lists. Alabama now has two commitments for the 2027 class.

The first commitment came on Tuesday from another in-state prospect, Moody’s Ba’Roc Willis, also an edge rusher. Willis committed to the Crimson Tide just before Kalen DeBoer began his first preseason camp.

DeBoer is currently focused on recruiting for the class of 2024, which is ranked second on the 247Sports composite, behind Ohio State. During SEC Media Days in July, he credited Alabama’s staff for his early recruiting success, stating, “I knew it was important for me to put the right people around me.

As much as I can preach relationships and getting to know guys and feel like there’s a way that I can get guys to feel that this is a program they want to be a part of, I understand that there’s got to be familiarity with a region.”
