HUGE BLOW: “Off To Another Start” Auburn Football Fans Reportedly Get Unexpected Bad News On QB Jackson Arnold

Auburn football fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the Tigers’ new transfer quarterback take the field.

Jackson Arnold was sidelined for Saturday’s A-Day open practice after picking up what looked like a minor leg injury during Thursday’s session.

His absence appears to be purely precautionary, similar to several other Auburn players who’ve been limited due to injuries throughout spring practice.

With Arnold out, Auburn is down to just one scholarship quarterback for the open practice—true freshman Deuce Knight. Walk-on John Colvin will also get some reps alongside Knight.

Saturday’s practice presents a great opportunity for Knight to gain valuable first-team experience. The young quarterback has already earned high praise from both teammates and coaches.

“Deuce’s maturity is beyond what I expected, and he’s eager to learn—constantly asking questions,” head coach Hugh Freeze said earlier in the spring. “He always wants to discuss ways to improve. He works so hard, we have to push him off the field to keep him from overdoing it.”
