On Sunday afternoon, Ohio State secured a commitment from five-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, adding another top-tier talent to its offensive future. This also means the Buckeyes managed to keep him out of the Big Ten, outpacing USC and Oregon for his commitment. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 180 pounds, Dixon-Wyatt posted impressive stats in his junior season with 50 receptions for 693 yards and five touchdowns, according to 247Sports.

He is set to take an official visit to Ohio State on May 30.

Dixon-Wyatt, a 2026 prospect from Mater Dei in California, is ranked as the No. 107 overall player and the No. 15 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also a teammate of Ohio State’s five-star WR commit Chris Henry Jr.

With Dixon-Wyatt’s pledge, Ohio State’s receiver class for 2026 appears to be complete, featuring him alongside Henry, four-star receivers Brock Boyd and Jaeden Ricketts. Currently, Ohio State’s four commitments represent one-third of their 2026 class.

Dixon-Wyatt brings versatility to Ohio State’s offense, and with the 2025 and 2026 receiver classes consisting of eight total recruits, Coach Hartline will have plenty of options to work with.

This addition strengthens Ohio State’s already impressive receiver room, known for producing first-round wide receivers. As long as Hartline remains on staff, the Buckeyes have little to worry about in that position.

Now, Ohio State can focus on other key areas for their offensive class, specifically securing a quarterback and a couple of running backs to complement the strong depth and talent at wide receiver.

After struggling in recent years to land top players from California’s Mater Dei, Hartline has now successfully made inroads. Ohio State now ranks No. 3 in the 247Sports team rankings, just behind USC and Notre Dame.
