Derby County manager Wayne Rooney has said Cristiano Ronaldo remains “annoying” as a player.
Rooney played alongside Ronaldo during his first spell at Old Trafford for five years, from 2004 to 2009.
Ronaldo is back in Manchester for the second time and has scored 18 goals for the Red Devils so far.
Rooney, who is United’s all-time leading goalscorer, speaking at a gala dinner in Manchester last weekend, said: “Cristiano was so good and so fucking annoying at the same time.
“He’s probably not as good now, but he’s probably just as annoying.”
However, Ronaldo is believed to be unstable at the club and could leave this summer, especially if he fails to qualify for the Champions League.
