The 2025 NFL Draft proved to be a strong showing for the Ole Miss football program. After sending a program-record 11 players to the NFL Combine in February, expectations were high that the Rebels would make a splash at the draft in April.

In the end, eight former Ole Miss players were selected, highlighted by quarterback Jaxson Dart and defensive tackle Walter Nolen both being picked in the first round.

While several other draft-eligible Rebels went undrafted, many quickly found opportunities as undrafted free agents, a reflection of the outstanding recruiting and player development done by head coach Lane Kiffin and his staff.

According to the Ole Miss football program, edge rusher Jared Ivey and cornerback Isaiah Hamilton signed with the Seattle Seahawks shortly after the draft concluded.

Both players will have a shot to earn a roster spot this offseason, competing on a team that already boasts significant defensive talent. Ivey’s slide out of the draft came as a surprise, considering some scouts had graded him as high as a fifth-round pick.

Fortunately, Seattle’s relatively thin depth at edge rusher could offer him a real chance to make an impact. Hamilton wasn’t projected to be drafted, but the Seahawks’ quick move to sign him suggests they see potential in the young cornerback.

The road ahead won’t be easy, as both players face a tough offseason of training camp and team activities, but they now have a real shot to join the ranks of Ole Miss alumni in the NFL if they can survive final roster cuts.
