
Former Denver Broncos starting tight end is on the move once again. After spending last season with the San Francisco 49ers, where he appeared in 17 games and started three, He will remain in the NFC West.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Seattle Seahawks have signed Him, adding him to a tight end group that includes Noah Fant and AJ Barner.
In 2024, Saubert recorded 11 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown while starting three games for the 49ers. Over his seven-year career, he has accumulated 47 catches for 389 yards, three touchdowns, and one fumble.

Originally selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round (No. 174 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, Saubert spent two seasons in Atlanta before being traded to the New England Patriots in 2020. However, he was released before playing a game for New England. Throughout his career, he has had stints with the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Texans.
A Drake University product, Saubert is best remembered for his time in Denver, where he started 10 games across two seasons, recording 23 receptions for 195 yards, two touchdowns, and eight first-down conversions.
Now entering his age-31 season, Saubert projects as a veteran depth piece for Seattle. While he may not be a flashy playmaker, he has proven to be a reliable target when called upon.
