On Thursday, Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced the team had acquired Terrance and a 2025 third-round draft pick from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for veteran forward Chris Kreider and a 2025 fourth-round selection.
He, 20, served as captain of the Erie Otters in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) this past season, tallying 20 goals and 19 assists for 39 points in 45 games.

Over four seasons with Erie, the 6-foot-1, 187-pound forward has appeared in 230 games, recording 89 goals and 73 assists for a total of 162 points.
He scored 29 goals and added 23 assists for 52 points in 56 games during the 2023-24 campaign. The year prior, in 2022-23, he set a personal best with 30 goals and contributed 17 assists for 47 points in 67 games.
Terrance led the Otters in goals in both seasons. His 52 points in 2023-24 tied for fourth on the team, while his 47 points in 2022-23 topped the club.
