The Jets have brought back linebacker, re-signing him after claiming him off waivers late last season.

Davis (6-3, 234), a former first-round pick (No. 19 overall) by Washington in 2021, joined the Jets on Dec. 31, 2024. Last season, he appeared in nine games—five with the Commanders and four with the Vikings—totaling 18 tackles (12 solo) and one sack across 106 defensive snaps.

The 26-year-old linebacker played in 50 games (36 starts) for Washington from 2021-24, accumulating 281 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, seven sacks, six pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. After being released by the Commanders on Oct. 22, Davis had brief stints with Green Bay and Minnesota before landing with the Jets.

A highly athletic linebacker, Davis showcased elite speed and explosiveness at his pro day, recording a 42-inch vertical and running the 40-yard dash in 4.41 and 4.37 seconds. His physical tools make him an intriguing depth piece for the Jets’ linebacker corps.
