
One of the Brantford Bulldogs’ top players is preparing to take the ice in Chicago after securing a contract with an NHL team.

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Marek Vanacker to a three-year entry-level contract with a salary cap of $975,000.

The 18-year-old from Delhi, Ontario, was chosen 27th overall by the Blackhawks in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
In the 2023-2024 season with the Bulldogs, Vanacker scored 36 goals and tallied 82 points.
