The Montreal Alouettes have added Canadian receiver Nate Behar to their roster following their bye week in Week 7.
Behar has been available since February after being released by the Ottawa Redblacks, even though he had a significant amount of guaranteed money remaining on his contract. This addition comes as Canadian receiver Kaion Julien-Grant is dealing with a shoulder injury and may be out for several weeks.

The 29-year-old Behar had a limited 2023 season, playing in 12 games and seeing a decline in his performance due to quarterback issues with the Redblacks. He recorded 39 receptions for 394 yards and one touchdown, ranking fourth on the team.
Behar, a Carleton University alum, was picked in the first round of the 2017 CFL Draft by the Edmonton Football Team. He spent two seasons in Edmonton before joining Ottawa as a free agent. Over his career, he has accumulated 179 catches for 1,926 yards and four touchdowns in 86 CFL games.
Before turning professional, Behar had an impressive college career, with 178 receptions for 2,577 yards and 21 touchdowns over four seasons with the Ravens.
The Alouettes also re-signed American linebacker Bryce Notree, who had been released earlier this year. In 10 games last season, Notree recorded 21 defensive tackles, 11 special teams tackles, and a sack.
Montreal (5-1) will resume practice on Sunday before facing the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-1) on Thursday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
