The Los Angeles Chargers have started the season 2-0 under new head coach Jim Harbaugh, with victories over the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers.

The team’s early success has been driven by a strong rushing game, led by J.K. Dobbins, who has accumulated 266 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the first two games. However, no Chargers wide receiver has surpassed 51 receiving yards in a game heading into Week 3.

Bleacher Report has suggested that Harbaugh should consider trading for a veteran wide receiver to bolster the team’s passing attack.

Houston Texans receiver Robert Woods, who is currently underutilized on a roster featuring Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, and Tank Dell, is a potential target. Woods has yet to see a target this season and has only been on the field for 15% of the Texans’ offensive snaps.

Woods, a 12-year veteran and Super Bowl champion, has amassed 8,030 career receiving yards and 38 touchdowns, including back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 and 2019.

Alex Ballantine of Bleacher Report noted that while Harbaugh’s teams are typically run-focused, the Chargers need to provide more support for their quarterback, especially with DJ Chark sidelined on injured reserve. Ballantine advised the Chargers to address their depth concerns by acquiring a veteran receiver before further injuries arise.
