The Seattle Seahawks have parted ways with safety Marquise Blair and defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna. These roster cuts were made to create space for the signings of speedy wide receiver Miles Boykin and running back Brittain Brown. The moves were finalized on September 18, 2024, just a few days before the Seahawks’ Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, September 22.

Blair is likely the most recognizable name to Seahawks fans. He was selected by Seattle in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft with the 47th overall pick and spent his first three seasons with the team before being released in 2022. He then signed with the Carolina Panthers but appeared in just three games.

Seattle brought Blair back this offseason on a one-year deal in July. Although he was released when the team finalized its 53-man roster before Week 1, the Seahawks re-signed him to the practice squad shortly after. Over his career, Blair has played 23 games with Seattle.

The Seahawks Cut Quinton Bohanna, a Former Cowboys Starting Defensive Tackle

Bohanna, a seasoned player, joined the Seahawks’ practice squad on September 4. Last season, he was with the Detroit Lions, but he is primarily recognized for his time with the Dallas Cowboys.

The defensive tackle appeared in 27 games for Dallas between 2021 and 2022, starting nine of them in 2022 and playing in 13 games overall that year.

The Seahawks Are 4.5-Point Favorites Versus the Dolphins

Seattle aims to improve to 3-0 with a victory over Miami in Week 3. The Seahawks enter the game as 4.5-point favorites.

With Tua Tagovailoa on Injured Reserve, Skylar Thompson is expected to start at quarterback for the Dolphins. Meanwhile, there are still uncertainties regarding Seattle running back Ken Walker’s availability.

Walker has not practiced leading up to the Week 3 contest, and it would be unexpected if he plays against the Dolphins.
