Virginia transfer Edessa Noyan has officially committed to Indiana women’s basketball.

The 6-foot-3 forward from Botkyrka, Sweden, played in 26 games for Virginia last season, starting 23. She averaged 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 40.7% from the floor, 32.8% from three-point range, and 88.2% from the free-throw line. Noyan has two years of eligibility remaining.

She reached double-digit scoring in five games, highlighted by a 16-point performance in Virginia’s 78-75 win over North Carolina on March 2 and another 16-point game on 5-of-6 shooting against Coppin State on December 21.

In 2024, she was named to Sweden’s U20 national team for both the Nordic Championship and the FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket.

Noyan becomes the fourth transfer to join Teri Moren’s program this spring, alongside Chloe Spreen, Phoenix Stotijn, and Zania Socka-Nguemen.
