According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt has requested a trade following the firing of defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who has since joined the Indianapolis Colts.
Pratt, a team captain and former third-round pick in 2019, is coming off a 2024 season in which he started all 17 games, tallying 143 tackles (80 solo), 5 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 6 passes defensed, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.

Pro Football Focus graded Pratt as the 56th-best linebacker with a 60.2 overall rating, placing him just behind Colts second-team All-Pro linebacker Zaire Franklin, who earned a 60.3 grade.

Set to carry an $8.18 million cap hit in 2025, Pratt could become a cap casualty as Cincinnati prioritizes its offensive core, including the potential long-term retention—or another franchise tag—of standout receiver Tee Higgins.
Despite a disappointing 2024 campaign, Pratt aims for a fresh start elsewhere. Indianapolis could be a logical landing spot, as Anarumo may look to reunite with him to help implement his defensive scheme and provide veteran leadership.
