The Auburn football team is currently dealing with some challenges, making it crucial for team leaders to step up and ensure the group stays united and on the right track. One of the most influential voices is linebacker Eugene Asante, known for his signature “let’s work!” catchphrase.

Asante has been reminding the team how close they are to achieving success, emphasizing that their mistakes are self-inflicted. If they can come together and make key plays, they’ll be able to reach the next level.

“Effort and intensity in our practice,” Asante said, according to Auburn Undercover. “No dragging in practice. Just going out there and trying to have a complete session, executing the assignment. We have players in position to make plays—just make them when it counts. We’re stressing that to the team. We had a player-led meeting yesterday, had a real conversation, and I think everyone got the message.”

“Oklahoma State was my first visit in July, and then I went to Auburn,” said the Oklahoma City native, according to Auburn Undercover. “After that, I visited the other two schools, but none of them felt the same. I kept comparing them to Auburn and realized it wouldn’t be fair to continue visiting when I knew I wanted to be at Auburn.”
