Colts head coach Shane Steichen, who previously served as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator, will have the opportunity to work with another familiar face from Philadelphia. The Colts have added wide receiver Greg Ward to their 90-man roster. Ward, who spent the last seven years with the Eagles, mostly on the practice squad, recorded 88 receptions for 768 yards and 10 touchdowns in 40 games. His last game appearance was in 2021.

Additionally, the Colts signed defensive end Derek Rivers. Rivers, a third-round pick by the Patriots in 2017, recorded two tackles and 2.5 sacks in 14 games with New England and had nine tackles and one sack in five games for the Texans in 2021.
To accommodate these new signings, the Colts waived safety Kendell Brooks and wide receiver Ethan Fernea.
