The St. Louis Cardinals are making roster changes with just over a month remaining in the regular season.

Sitting at 64-67, 17.5 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers and six games out of the NL Wild Card hunt, the club now seems to be shifting focus toward 2026.

Even so, the Cardinals announced three roster moves on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals announced several roster moves Saturday on their Player Development X account. Edwin Nunez is being promoted to Double-A Springfield, Jovi Galvez is moving up to Palm Beach, and Brandt Thompson has been placed on the 7-day injured list.

Nunez has pitched in five games for Palm Beach, posting an impressive 1.93 ERA. Thompson has made 19 starts this season, carrying a 3.69 ERA overall, and in two outings with Springfield has recorded a 1.00 ERA.
