BREAKING NEWS: Broncos-Raiders Officially Make Stunning Trade Pitch

The Denver Broncos are aiming to bolster their receiving corps this offseason but could also consider making a trade. This proposal presents a bold scenario in which Denver makes a surprising deal with a division rival.

In this trade, the Broncos send their top wide receiver, Courtland Sutton, to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for the 68th overall pick in the early third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The move would provide the Raiders with a true No. 1 receiver while giving Denver valuable draft capital.

Speculation about a potential Sutton trade surfaced last offseason, and with the Broncos securing their future quarterback in Bo Nix, parting ways with Sutton would be a shocking decision.

However, there’s a key reason Denver might consider it—Sutton is due for a contract extension, and the Broncos may not be willing to meet his asking price. At 30 years old, he could command a significant new deal.

With a young quarterback and a strong defense, the Broncos might prioritize getting younger and more cost-efficient by trading Sutton at the right value. The proposed return—a third-round pick (68th overall) from the Raiders—would give Denver four selections in the top 90: No. 20 in the first round, No. 51 in the second, and Nos. 68 and 85 in the third.

This additional draft capital would allow the Broncos to reinforce their receiving group, whether through free agency or multiple draft selections.

While trading their top receiver to a division rival would be a shocking move, this deal could position Denver for long-term success. It would be a difficult decision, but one that could help the team build for the future.
