The Cincinnati Bengals have a history of reuniting with former players, and this offseason, they brought back running back Samaje Perine. Could a former Super Bowl team cornerback be next?

Reports emerged Saturday that the Tennessee Titans released cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, just a year after signing him away from Cincinnati. Awuzie, also known as “Chido,” originally joined the Bengals in 2021 and played a key role in their Super Bowl run, delivering one of his best seasons as a pro.

However, injuries have plagued him in recent years. He played just eight games with the Titans last season, recording one interception, and his final year in Cincinnati was also cut short due to a back injury. As a result, the Bengals shifted their focus to younger cornerbacks like DJ Turner and Dax Hill.

Now a free agent again, should the Bengals consider a reunion? With Mike Hilton still unsigned, Awuzie could bring valuable veteran leadership as the team transitions to a younger secondary.
