Opening Day has arrived, signaling the conclusion of another spring training in Port St. Lucie for the Mets.

This year’s camp for New York was overshadowed by significant injuries to the rotation, with another name added to the injured list this week.

Mets president of baseball operations, David Stearns, announced Wednesday that Paul Blackburn will start the season on the 15-day IL due to right knee inflammation.

After the Mets lost starters Frankie Montas (lat) and Sean Manaea (oblique), Blackburn had been competing for a spot in the open back-end of the rotation.

Blackburn received an injection in his knee and will be sidelined for 7-10 days. Stearns expects him to return before the end of April.

With Blackburn unavailable, Max Kranick and Huascar Brazobán were added to the Opening Day roster.

Tylor Megill and Griffin Canning will join Clay Holmes, Kodai Senga, and David Peterson in the rotation, with Holmes starting the season opener against Houston on Thursday. Megill will follow with the second start, then Canning, Peterson, and Senga.
