Since their Super Bowl LVI victory, the Los Angeles Rams have made a flurry of draft picks. The original hope was to come away with a few solid contributors and maybe one or two starters.
Given the team had just reached the NFL’s mountaintop, some might’ve expected lower expectations. But that’s not how things played out.
Despite not having a pick in the top 100 during the 2022 NFL Draft, the Rams managed to draft effectively. Here’s how their recent draft numbers break down:
-
2022: 8 picks | 5 players still on the roster | 3 starters
-
2023: 14 picks | 11 rostered | 5 starters
-
2024: 10 picks | all 10 rostered | 5 starters
-
2025: 8 picks | TBD
That’s an impressive track record. Even in years when they gave up first-round picks for proven veterans, the Rams consistently found value in later rounds. According to Betway, over the past decade, the Rams rank as the third most effective drafting team in the NFL.
Of course, past performance doesn’t guarantee future success. Every draft presents new challenges—different prospects, team needs, and strategies. Success requires a full-team effort, from scouts to coaches to the wider organization.

Yet, the Rams have shown a consistent ability to unearth hidden gems. Running back Kyren Williams has become a reliable offensive force. Wide receiver Puka Nacua has quickly turned into one of the league’s breakout stars. Defensively, they’ve built a core around four rising stars:
-
NT Kobie Turner – “The Conductor”
-
DT Braden Fiske – “The Kingpin”
-
OLB Byron Young – “Agent 0”
-
OLB Jared Verse – “V8”
Looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft, fans are hopeful that the Rams will continue their trend of finding hard-working, talented, and coachable players. No pressure, right?

One thing’s clear: the Rams’ front office hasn’t just relied on draft picks—they’ve also excelled at finding undrafted talent. The old “F*** them picks” mentality has given way to a new philosophy: “Love them picks.” As the 2025 draft nears, Rams fans are ready for another exciting ride.
