Sunday’s game against the Saints will showcase several standout players from the opposing team, including quarterback Derek Carr, running back Alvin Kamara, and Chase Young, the No. 2 overall pick in 2020 for Washington who has now joined the Saints.

Additionally, New Orleans has a couple of former Cowboys draft picks on their current roster.

Wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, a sixth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2018, is in his first season with the Saints after spending the last two years in Miami. Wilson was with the Cowboys through the 2021 season, when he recorded 45 catches for 602 yards and six touchdowns, which earned him a free-agent contract with the Dolphins.

Defensive tackle John Ridgeway, a fifth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2022, made the roster out of training camp but was released in September with the intention of placing him on the practice squad. However, he was claimed by Washington, where he played 32 games over two seasons before being traded to the Saints this offseason.

On the other side, the Cowboys have wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who was drafted by the Saints in 2014 (20th overall). Cooks spent three seasons in New Orleans before playing for the Patriots, Rams, and Texans, eventually being traded to the Cowboys in 2023.
