The Los Angeles Chargers might consider targeting the dissatisfied wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys before the upcoming season. Reports suggest that rumors about Lamb being traded have become a major talking point in the league, and if he continues to hold out, the Cowboys might feel compelled to trade him. Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton proposed a deal where the Cowboys would trade Lamb for wide receiver Joshua Palmer, along with a first-round and third-round pick. Losing Lamb would be a significant blow for the Cowboys, as Palmer does not possess the same skillset.
However, some believe that the Cowboys could benefit in the long run if they approach the situation with patience. Although Palmer might provide an immediate replacement for Lamb, it’s unrealistic to expect him to match Lamb’s performance. While Palmer has been a reliable weapon for Justin Herbert, that doesn’t guarantee he’ll thrive on a new team. Last season, Palmer battled injuries, appearing in only 10 games but still managed 581 receiving yards and two touchdowns, averaging a career-high 58.1 yards per game.
As a secondary option behind Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, Palmer’s larger role in the Cowboys’ offense could make sense. On the other hand, the Chargers are in need of talented wideouts to support Herbert, especially with Ladd McConkey and DJ Chark struggling to produce more than 600 yards since 2020. If the Chargers trade away one of their current wideouts, who is already familiar with the offense, they might regret it.
Nevertheless, if Lamb does request a trade, the Chargers could come out on top by acquiring the star playmaker they need.

Legette may need a couple of years to develop into a reliable target as he adjusts to the NFL, so trading for Lamb could be a smart move. Lamb is in his prime and capable of putting up numbers regardless of where he plays. If the Panthers decide to trade Thielen, Lamb could step in as their No. 1 receiver, with Johnson potentially signing a new extension next offseason to serve as their No. 2 wideout.

There’s speculation that Marquise Brown might have been hinting at CeeDee Lamb joining the Chiefs, especially after both players were seen with matching profile pictures and Twitter headers. However, with Brown now injured, the likelihood of this move seems more reasonable for both parties. The Chiefs would have to offer a substantial package to acquire someone like Lamb, and Brown doesn’t have the influence to make it happen on his own.
While the Cowboys may not be actively looking to trade Lamb, if Jerry Jones isn’t quick to offer him an extension, the situation could become a waiting game. In a potential trade, Dallas might find a package involving players like Rashee Rice and Kadarius Toney appealing to the front office.
Baltimore Ravens
A trade that would truly shake up the league would be if Lamb were to join a dominant offense featuring Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Zay Flowers. For the Ravens to outpace their competitors this season and become the top team in the AFC, they need to make a bold move.
