Defenseman of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins has signed a one-year deal with Adler Mannheim of Germany’s DEL, the team confirmed.

This past season, He tallied two goals, 14 points, and 94 penalty minutes over 51 games while serving as an assistant captain.

A veteran of the AHL, He is a two-time Calder Cup champion, winning titles with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2017 and the Charlotte Checkers in 2019. Over his AHL career, he has accumulated 21 goals and 132 points in 510 games across stints with the Griffins, Checkers, Penguins, Colorado Eagles, and Providence Bruins.

The 31-year-old from Pickering, Ontario, has also appeared in 24 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, and Boston Bruins, registering three assists.

Renouf turned professional in 2016 following a three-year collegiate career at the University of Maine.

As reporter Tony Androckitis highlighted, Renouf is now the third Penguins defenseman this offseason—along with Mac Hollowell and Filip Kral—to sign with a European club.
