Louisville football head coach Jeff Brohm has announced the addition of two more players from the transfer portal.
Defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert, formerly of Kentucky, and offensive lineman Sam Secrest, who is rejoining Louisville after a season at Houston, have officially joined the Cardinals.
Their signings raise Louisvilleās total number of spring transfer additions to eight. Tight end Davon Mitchell remains the only pending addition.

Gilbert, a 6-foot-5, 262-pound lineman, started his college career at Kentucky. As a true freshman in 2023, he notched two tackles in two games and followed with five tackles, including one for loss, in eight games during the 2024 season.
A product of Indianapolis Cathedral High School, Gilbert was a highly regarded prospect, ranked No. 385 nationally by the 247Sports Composite.
Secrest began his collegiate career at Louisville, appearing in two games in 2023 before transferring to Houston, where he played in two games in 2024. The Indianapolis Roncalli graduate originally signed with the Cardinals in 2022 and now returns to the program.
