Alabama football is finalizing its 2025 recruiting class but is already looking ahead to future classes. Ba’Roc Willis, a 2027 linebacker, has committed to the Crimson Tide, as he announced to On3 on Tuesday. This makes Willis the first commit for Alabama’s 2027 class.

Willis, hailing from Moody, also received offers from Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Missouri, and others. “Locked in,” Willis posted on X. “Time to focus on the season now.” According to On3, Willis is a 6-3, 220-pound linebacker and hasn’t received star ratings from On3 or 247Sports yet.

Freddie Roach, the associate head coach and defensive line coach, is Willis’ primary recruiter, with outside linebackers coach Christian Robinson as the secondary recruiter.

New head coach Kalen DeBoer and his team have quickly succeeded in recruiting after replacing Nick Saban this offseason. During SEC Media Days in Dallas, DeBoer attributed this success to surrounding himself with the right people. “I knew it was important for me to put the right people around me,” DeBoer explained. “As much as I can preach relationships and getting to know guys… I understand that there’s got to be familiarity with a region.”

Thanks to Roach and Robinson’s regional expertise, they secured an in-state prospect in Willis for the 2027 class.
