The Los Angeles Angels have traded right-handed pitcher Davis Daniel to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for left-handed pitcher Mitch Farris.
Daniel, 27, was drafted by the Angels in 2019 and made his MLB debut in 2023. Over the past two seasons, he has appeared in nine games, posting a 2-5 record with a 5.06 ERA, along with 37 strikeouts and 15 walks in 42 2/3 innings. Last season, he primarily served as a starter, making six starts.

His standout performance came in his first appearance of the 2024 season, where he pitched eight scoreless innings against the Detroit Tigers.
Farris, 24, was selected by the Braves in the 2023 MLB Draft. He has logged just over 124 innings in Atlanta’s minor league system, splitting time between Single-A and Double-A. In that span, he compiled a 4-6 record, a 3.08 ERA, and recorded 131 strikeouts in 108 innings.
This trade clears a spot on the Angels’ 40-man roster.
It marks the fourth trade between the Angels and Braves since last season, the most recent occurring shortly after the World Series, when Los Angeles acquired power-hitting outfielder Jorge Soler.
