Anthony Richardson is prepared to take on the starting role again.

Anthony Richardson is set to start for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday against the New York Jets. The Colts, coming off a 30-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills, are now 4-6 and looking to keep their playoff hopes alive. They hope Richardson can help lead them to victory over the Jets.

“I just want to show that I’m committed to being a professional and willing to make sacrifices for the team,” Richardson told Stephen Holder of ESPN. “These last two weeks have really opened my eyes and given me the chance to do that… I’m grateful for these past two weeks.”

After temporarily losing his starting role, Richardson is appreciative of the perspective he’s gained. Now he’s back at quarterback, prepared to guide the Colts.

“As a competitor, you don’t want to be on the sidelines,” Richardson said. “You feel like you could be out there helping. Watching from the sideline gave me a chance to notice things I can improve and areas where the team needs support. I’m just grateful for the opportunity.”

The Colts will take on the Jets at 1 PM EST on Sunday, with Richardson determined to lead Indianapolis to a crucial win on the road. Given last week’s loss to the Bills, this game is a must-win for the Colts.

Richardson, known for his high potential, has the chance to solidify his role as the franchise quarterback. With a strong performance on Sunday, he could cement his place as the Colts’ QB1 of the future.
