Although Auburn won’t have the chance to make an impact on the field this week, they made waves in recruiting on Thursday evening.

The Tigers secured a commitment from three-star wide receiver Sam Turner, who had previously been pledged to Georgia Tech.

Turner, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound receiver from Decatur, Georgia, had been committed to the Yellow Jackets since June. He’s ranked as the No. 479 overall prospect nationally by the 247Sports composite rankings.

Turner joins Derick Smith, another receiver who committed in July, as Auburn’s second wide receiver in its 2025 class. Wide receivers coach Marcus Davis led Turner’s recruitment.
