After the Bell Centre crowd gave Patrik Laine a huge ovation, his girlfriend was visibly emotional while watching from the stands.

Following the game, she shared a brief video showing how deeply the night had affected her, along with a heartfelt message.

 

 

It’s worth noting that Laine, who is still sidelined for several weeks due to injury, attended the Bell Centre yesterday. He was introduced during the pre-game ceremonies ahead of the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

What a beautiful sentiment! Unfortunately, some have criticized Laine’s response to the ovation, but it’s important to recognize that he’s quite shy. His brief glance toward the ground showed just how touched he was.

This was easily one of my favorite moments of the night. As Martin St. Louis said, Laine was genuinely moved by the overwhelming love. We can only imagine how much this meant to him and the motivation it gave him for the future.
