Auburn football continues to excel in recruiting, securing another significant commitment on Friday morning by flipping four-star defensive lineman Nate Marshall from Michigan.

Marshall, who had been committed to Michigan since April 22, was highly pursued by Auburn, particularly by defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams. Despite his previous commitment, Auburn’s persistence paid off. Marshall, a top-100 prospect from Oak Park, Illinois, had visited Auburn officially in June, a visit that has clearly had a lasting impact.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 265 pounds, Marshall is ranked No. 46 overall in the class of 2025 by the 247Sports composite rankings and is considered the sixth-best defensive lineman in the nation.

With Marshall’s commitment, Auburn now has 23 total commitments for the 2025 class, and he ranks as their third-highest commitment. This addition also boosts Auburn’s recruiting class to No. 5 nationally for 2025.
