Just as the excitement surrounding Nico Iamaleava couldn’t be higher ahead of the 2024 college football season, it surged on Wednesday with the announcement that the Tennessee quarterback is among eleven college football athletes to sign an NIL deal with Beats by Dre. This marks the second consecutive year that the company has partnered with college football players, and Iamaleava is one of this year’s select athletes.

The athletes included in this deal are:

– Carson Beck, Georgia
– Johntay Cook II, Texas
– Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
– Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee
– Caleb Downs, Ohio State
– Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
– Will Johnson, Michigan
– Jalen Milroe, Alabama
– Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
– Malaki Starks, Georgia
– DJ Uiagalelei, Florida State

As part of the brand collaboration, a promotional video featuring Iamaleava was released and shared on the Tennessee Volunteers’ social media channels.

Iamaleava is set to begin his first season as Tennessee’s full-time starting quarterback. He already has one start under his belt, having played against Iowa in the Citrus Bowl at the end of last season. The former five-star recruit has generated optimism about the Volunteers’ chances of making the playoffs this year, and if he lives up to expectations, they could certainly be in contention for one of the 12 playoff spots.

The Volunteers’ schedule is challenging, with away games at Oklahoma and Georgia, as well as a home game against Alabama. These matchups will give fans a good sense of how Iamaleava handles pressure in high-stakes situations this season.
