Chicago Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg, originally from Spokane, shared on Thursday during an interview with Chicago radio station 670 The Score that his prostate cancer is now in remission. Sandberg reported that recent tests showed no signs of cancer and described his condition as “very manageable going forward.”

He had his last treatment for prostate cancer this morning, and tests came back "great" with no cancer detected.
“It’s very manageable going forward,” Sandberg says.

The 64-year-old Sandberg, who had an illustrious 16-year MLB career—15 of those years with the Cubs—rose to prominence at North Central High. Earlier this summer, a statue in his honor was unveiled at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
